The Cooper County Historical Society (CCHS) will once again be hosting Trivia Night at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Boonville on Saturday, January 26 at 6 p.m.
A press release from the historical society stated that for six years Trivia Night has started the new year with individuals enjoying a supper buffet and a chance to bid on silent auction items. The evening is capped off with a night of trivia with free popcorn and drinks offered during the night.
Ten categories with questions ranging from geography, science, music, movies and politics will be asked to the participants. The teams will then debate among themselves and write down what they think the correct answer is. Dawn Taylor of Taylor's Bake Shop in Boonville spends the whole year working up questions.
Each team will also get to come up with their own creative name.
"It's a fun casual night- the teams think up names and some of them are hilarious!" said Florence 'Winky' Chesnutt, CCHS member.
The table with the most correct answers will take home eight prizes of cash and merchandise contributed by generous area donors. Reservations for tables can be made by emailing Dawn Taylor at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 660-888-9438.
Each seat costs $15 for a total of $120 entry fee per table. All funds go to the Cooper County Historical Society to help support their research center and library.
