Marissa Day had 16 points, eight steals, seven rebounds and two blocked shots to lead the St. Joseph Pilot Grove girls junior high basketball team past the Dresden Dragons last Thursday in Pilot Grove.
The Lady Cougars, improving to 9-5 on the season, led Dresden 20-3 at the half and 28-7 after three quarters of play and then outscored the Lady Dragons 10-0 in the final period.
Emily Schupp finished the game with 12 points, three rebounds, three steals and one assist for the Lady Cougars.
Celine Dodson added six points, two rebounds, one assist and one steal while Isabella Heckman chipped in two points, four rebounds, four steals, two assists and one blocked shot, Karsyn Kraus with two points and one assist, Maci Twenter with three rebounds, two steals and one assist, Madeline Goehman with two steals and Cassie Grandestaff with two steals.
For Dresden, Kayla Griffin had three points.
