The American Legion Thoma Tuttle Post 52, along with the American Legion Auxiliary, held their annual Christmas dinner at the Senior Center Thursday night in downtown Boonville. It was attended by about 25 members and their families. Delbert Fairley has been a member for 43 years. He has tried to make the dinners every year. Fairley said besides the meals, Post 52 is very active in the community with such duties including helping out with funerals and flag ceremonies. Post 52 Commander James Ripperger thanked everyone for coming as they talked to each other before the meal. A meal was served at 6:30 p.m. following a prayer. Ripperger said they have a meeting the second Thursday of each month. He said they always have it at the Senior Center. He thanked them for allowing them to use their facility. The meal was catered by C&R Market of Boonville.
