The LSE Hawks wrestling team made it a perfect 4-for-4 last night while recording wins in 22 out of 34 matches in the Moberly Tournament last night.
According to LSE wrestling coach Jeff Francis, the Hawks finished 7-5 in the match against Mexico and 15-7 in the match against Moberly.
“Our wrestlers are doing a nice job from their feet,” Francis said. “They have been using the front headlock that is paralyzing their opponent which is leading to some solid pins,” Francis said. “Our cheap tilts have been getting better and are beginning to score with it. Simply put, these young men are tough.”
Klayton Anderson had the best record on the night for the Hawks by going 4-0. Joel Concannon won three matches while Michael Flint, Gabe Kaiser, Remington Hammers, Lucas Gerke and Gabe Rumbaoa won two matches each and Thomas Grathwohl, Christian Kosnopfal and Landon Bail with one win each.
The LSE Hawks wrestling team will compete next on Monday, Dec. 3rd in the Marshall Quad starting at 5 p.m.
