Ss. Peter & Paul coach Carol Griffin said this was a great improvement from the night before. “ The girls were prepared and played with more intensity tonight,” Griffin said. “That’s the one thing about these girls they play hard throughout the whole game and I couldn’t be more proud of them. They have made some great strides this year.  A great effort from everyone, the starters came out right away and set the tone of the game.  We were aggressive on our press, created turnovers and were able to capitalize on them. Offensively, we moved the ball around the perimeter well and looked inside for Rachel who came up big for us tonight.  Even though some of the girls who didn’t score very much contributed to the win with their steals and rebounds such as Emily, Kaitlyn, Claire and Maddie. These girls you don’t read much about but they really have stepped up their game, I wished we didn’t have such a long break before we play again.”
Mackenzie Lutz paced all scorers for Ss. Peter & Paul with 11 points along with seven steals and three rebounds. Rachel Lutz had six points, 10 rebounds and two steals while Emily Imhoff added three points, eight rebounds, four steals and two assists, Hannah Gross also with three points and one steal, Kaitlyn Doza with eight steals and two rebounds, Claire Grissum with four steals and one assist, Megan Young with three steals and one rebound and Maddie Weber with three steals.
For Fayette, Chelsea Wysocki had six points and Mikela Howell one.
