The Bunceton boys basketball team fell last night in the consolation semifinals of the Tipton Tournament against Jamestown by a score of 58-25.
The Dragons, 0-3 on the season, trailed Jamestown by just one (23-22) at the half but was outscored 35-3 in the second half to suffer the loss.
Bunceton coach Yancy Cody said his team played well in the first half but didn’t match the intensity in the second half.
Jacob Clevenger had 10 points and four rebounds in the game for Bunceton while Kyler Tucker added six points, five steals, three rebounds and one assist, Ashton Campbell with four points, three steals, two assists and one rebound, Will Twenter with three points, four rebounds and one steal and Kyle Held with two points, three rebounds, three steals and one assist.
Otterville boys and girls lose to Green Ridge
The Otterville boys and girls had a rough start to the 2012-13 season Tuesday night by losing to Green Ridge by the scores of 81-71 in overtime and 61-57, respectively.
Ryan Benny had 37 points and Jake Gaskell 12 for Otterville.
In the loss for the Lady Eagles, Hannah Stone tossed in 21, Stephanie Oswald 13 and Whitney Watring with 12.
