Mildred Lorraine Solter, formerly of Boonville, Missouri, passed away at her home in Washington, Missouri on November 25, 2012. She was 100 years old. Mrs. Solter was born in Merna, Missouri on June 27, 1912 a daughter of the late Rufus Nathaniel and Stella Vuilcot Weed. She married George Edward Clifford Solter July 10, 1942. They were married for 65 years when he preceded her in death. Prior to retirement, Mildred had been employed as a home health caregiver in the Boonville area until she was 80 years old. She had also worked as a waitress and at the Selwyn Shoe Factory. She was an active member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Boonville until moving to Washington. Mrs. Solter was a member of the Boonville V.F.W. Auxiliary for over 50 years and was a founding charter member of the Boonville American Legion Auxiliary Post #52 for 55 years. Survivors include her son, Rufus Solter and wife, Marcia of Washington, Missouri, nine grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren and fifteen great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands James Martin and Clifford Solter; daughters, Norma Nadler and Jeanie Crowley; brothers, Edwin, Everett, Melvin and Robert Weed and sister, Helen Pfeiffer. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 28, at Markland-Yager Funeral Home in New Franklin. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Boonville. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Washington Senior Center in care of Markland-Yager Funeral Home, P.O.
