Robert W. Langlotz, 84, of Boonville, passed away at University Hospital on Wednesday morning, Nov. 21, 2012. Funeral services for Robert will be held at Davis Funeral Chapel at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, Nov. 26, 2012 with Rev. Paul Weisenborn officiating. Visitation will be for two hours prior to the service from 11:00 A.M. to time of service. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery with full military honors. Robert William Langlotz was born in Boonville, MO January 12, 1928, the son of Verner C. Langlotz and Pearlie Ann Johnmeyer. After graduating from Boonville High School in 1945 he enlisted in the U. S. Army. Robert married Audrey 'Maxine' Schafersman June 15th, 1952 in Boonville. He was a well known and respected craftsman in the cabinet business, meticulous in his quest for perfection in the remodeling and construction of homes in the area, until his retirement in 1992. Bob was also enthusiastic and very competitive when it came to bowling and playing cards. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Boonville and the local Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mr. Langlotz was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine, by two brothers, Owen and Virgil Langlotz as well as two nephews. He is survived by his son, Paul Langlotz and wife Sheila, of Boonville, two sisters, Leona Schmidt of Boonville and Gladys Finley of Deland, Florida and by his granddaughter, Audrey Kaye Langlotz of Boonville as well as four nieces and nephews, five great-nieces and nephews and two great-great nieces. Memorials are suggested to Zion Lutheran School or the American Heart Association.
