Parker Schuster had a double-double with 13 points and 17 rebounds, leading the St. Joseph Pilot Grove boys junior high basketball team past Clarksburg 39-22 last night in Pilot Grove.
The Cougars led Clarksburg 16-13 at the half and 25-17 after three quarters of play and then held a 14-5 advantage in the final period for the victory.
Schuster also finished the game with two steals and two blocked shots for St. Joseph Pilot Grove.
Brady Rentel contributed 12 points, seven rebounds, one steal and one blocked shot while Jared Schupp added six points and six rebounds, Layne Wessing with four points and one steal, Kale Day with two points and four rebounds, Layton Streck also with two points and Anderson Twenter with two rebounds and two steals.
Clarksburg was led by Ryan Tate with nine points while Carter Asahl added six, Ramon Gonzalez three and Trenton Pace and Bryant Carpenter each with two.
The St. Joseph Pilot Grove boys will participate in the Clarksburg Tournament on November 12-17.
