Blackwater’s Paige Renfrow scored a game-high 20 points, leading the Lady Bulldogs past St. Joseph Pilot Grove 41-19 on Tuesday.
Blackwater led St. Joseph Pilot Grove 8-4 after one and 22-7 at the half before outscoring the Lady Cougars 19-12 in the final-two periods for the victory.
Scoring in the game for St. Joseph Pilot Grove had Marissa Day with 10 points, four rebounds and three steals. Celine Dodson finished the game with four points, three rebounds, three steals and one assist while Isabella Heckman added two points, 10 rebounds and two steals, Madeline Goehman with two points and one steal, Emily Schupp with one point, three steals, two assists and one rebound, Karsyn Kraus with five rebounds, one assist and one steal and Maci Twenter with one rebound and one assist.
St. Joseph Pilot Grove coach Eric Kraus said this was a tough game against a very good Blackwater team.
As for the Blackwater, they also won against St. Joseph Pilot Grove by a score of 40-32.
The Bulldogs led by just one (21-20) at the half but outscored St. Joseph Pilot Grove 19-12 in the second half for the victory.
Preston Renfrow led the scoring attack in the game for Blackwater with 19 points.
For St. Joseph Pilot Grove, Brady Rentel had 17 points, five blocked shots, four rebounds and one steal. Parker Schuster finished the game with seven points, six rebounds, one steal and one blocked shot, while Layne Wessing added five points and one rebound, Anderson Twenter with two points, two steals and one rebound, Jared Schupp with one point, two rebounds and two steals, Kale Day with four rebounds and four steals and Layton Streck with one rebound and one steal.
