Pilot Grove coach Landon Daniel said it was a hard-fought game between both teams. “We struggled offensively all night and made a lot of mental mistakes but we pulled out a win thanks to great rebounding and a big night from Madison Kempf down low,” Daniel said. “We have one more game this year against Malta Bend, so we will get things turned around and hopefully end the year playing at our full potential.”
Madison Kempf led all scorers in the game for Pilot Grove with 11 points. Kirstie Schupp chipped in six while Sasha Moore added four, Reagan Walker and Cathlynn Hardt three each and Isabella Roth with two.
