The St. Mary’s of Glasgow girls junior high basketball team broke a 13-13 tie after three quarters of play by outscoring St. Joseph Pilot Grove 7-2 in the final period for a 20-15 victory.
The Lady Jaguars led St. Joseph Pilot Grove 9-5 at the half but were outscored 8-4 in the third quarter to tie the game at 13-13.
Carrington Frevert and Jaden Monnig each had four points in the game for St. Mary’s of Glasgow while Kasie Neville added three points.
For St. Joseph Pilot Grove, Emily Schupp had seven points, four steals and two rebounds.
Karsyn Kraus added six points, three rebounds and two assists while Marissa Day added two points, three steals, one rebound and one assist, Celine Dodson with five rebounds, two steals and one assist, Maci Twenter with three rebounds and Isabella Heckman with two rebounds and one steal.
St. Joseph Pilot Grove coach Eric Kraus said the girls have a lot to work on but it was a good overall effort.
