  • The Pilot Grove girls junior high basketball team outscored Jamestown 13-0 in the first quarter and never looked back, beating the Lady Eagles Tuesday night in CCAA action at Pilot Grove by a score of 38-7.
The Lady Tigers, 7-4 on the season, led Jamestown 23-2 at the half and then outscored the Lady Eagles 15-5 in the second half for the victory.
Pilot Grove coach Landon Daniel said this was a complete and total team victory for the Lady Tigers.
“We came out wanting to really work on defense and rebounding the ball, limiting Jamestown to only one shot per possession and did a pretty good job,” Daniel said. “Everyone got to score tonight and we had a big game from our two girls on the bench, Madison Kempf and Vanessa Lammers, who both played well and hit some big shots.”
Reagan Walker had the game-high for Pilot Grove with seven points.
Cathlynn Hardt, Vanessa Lammers and Madison Kempf each had six points while Iabella Roth added five and Kirstie Schupp and Sasha Moore with four points each.
