Bunceton junior Samantha Brandes proved without a doubt why she was selected as the MVP in the CCAA conference for the 2012 season.
Although the Lady Dragons finished second to Jamestown in the conference, Brandes more than held her own both at the plate and on the mound for the 2012 season while hitting .507 with 35 hits in 69 at-bats with five doubles, one triple, nine home runs and 31 RBIs. On the mound, the right-handed hurler finished 9-3 on the season with an ERA of 4.24.
