Frances Nadine Schlotzhauer, 92 of rural Salisbury, Mo. died Monday, October 8, 2012 at the Fayette Caring Center. She was born June 15, 1920 in Lockwood, Mo. the daughter of Luther and Ida (Meads) Rhoads.
Nadine married Joseph Russell Schlotzhauer on May 6, 1939 in Sedalia, Mo. and he preceded her in death on May 16, 2007.
Mrs. Schlotzhauer was a member of the Salisbury United Methodist Church and was a homemaker.
Survivors include a daughter, Russadine Hoffman of Salisbury, three grandchildren, Sherri Hoffman, Kevin Hoffman and Kara Hoffman all of Salisbury, nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, son-in-law, Jesse Hoffman, four brothers, Jim, Carl, Guy and Edd and four sisters, Mayme Blew, Onea Farris, Bertha Bowels and Dora Bishop.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 12, 2012 at 11:00a.m. at the Salisbury United Methodist Church with a graveside service to be held at 2:30p.m. at the Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Pilot Grove, Mo. Visitation is Thursday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the church. Memorials are suggested to the United Methodist Children’s Home. Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury is entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
