Herzog said the girls looked much better as a team. “They seemed more comfortable in their positions,” stated Herzog. “However, they still need to work on their transition on and off the net. This was a great game to run a new offense and they adjusted well. I am so glad to see them do things correctly to prepare for the next level.”
Kyla Johnson had three kills and three blocks in the match while Jordan Xufuris added four points and one dig, Dana Lester with two points and Ivory Shikles with one kill.
The LSE Lady Hawks Red team beat Centralia in three sets by the scores of 19-25, 25-22 and 25-18.
Herzog said the girls had a slow start against Centralia. “We had trouble serve-receiving in the first match,” Herzog said. “In set 2 and 3 the girls stepped up and played the way they were taught.”
