Eunice was born August 3, 1916 on a farm 3 mile south of Nelson Mo. the daughter of John William Mollet and Nellis S. Mollet. Eunice attended grade school at rural Cotton Patch, located within a mile of where she was born. She was a graduate of Blackwater High School. She also attended Central Business College of Sedalia Mo.On March 28th 1938 she married Dewitt Talmage Weekley of Lamine Mo and they were married for 68 years until his death on August 1, 2006.
Eunice was a stay at home mother where she raised her family, supplemented the family income by raising turkeys and chickens, selling eggs, enjoyed gardening and canning and ironing. She enjoyed sewing and quilting and was very disappointed she could not continue because of her failing eyesight. She is famous for her home cooked meals that she so freely shared with whoever came by at meal time. For years she would prepare dinner for the family every Sunday. She loved visiting with people and she and Talmage spent many years together filling out income taxes for neighbors. Talmage did the paper work and Eunice did all of the typing. She loved her church and all the people in it. She only missed church when she was sick and you could always depend on her being in the same pew every time that services were scheduled. She never had anything bad to say about anyone. She cared for Thomas Weekley (Talmages father) in the last 3 years of his life. She also cared for her mother for the last 3 years of her life both in her home.
