BOONVILLE — As we march toward the 10th year of Kemper’s closed doors, a window has opened that is moving our campus and our alumni association forward. In keeping with tradition of Parent’s weekend, the Kemper Alumni Association is pleased to announce our October 2012 reunion plans and share the news of the revitalization of the campus. The 2012 reunion will be October 5-6 in Boonville, Mo. on the Kemper campus with a Saturday night banquet at the Isle of Capri.
Friday evening from 6-10 p.m. there will be an open house at Math Hall for alumni and the general public. Saturday morning will be the annual trap shoot against Wentworth Military School starting at 8 a.m. followed by lunch at noon on the campus. At 1:30 p.m. a special ceremony is planned to commemorate the time that has passed since the school closed. Included will be the unveiling of the permanently placed alumni bricks. These bricks were a fundraiser more than 10 years ago and have finally come home where they were intended. A social hour will be held at 5 p.m. at the Isle of Capri Ballroom followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. and the annual meeting and entertainment.
Reservation can be made by sending a check to Laura Gramlish, 15274 Highway 87, Boonville, MO 65233. The cost is $65 per person for prepaid attendees or $75 at the door. The Isle of Capri is offering a special rate of $79.99 per night, reservations should be made early.
