Margaret Virginia (Eager) Duren, age 91, of Florissant, Missouri, formerly of Boonville, died at Bent Wood Nursing Center in Florissant, Missouri on Wednesday, August 8, 2012. Visitation will be 5-8 pm on Sunday, August 12th at William Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the Evangelical United Church of Christ in Boonville at 10 am on Monday, August 13th with Pastor Judy Fiocco officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Margaret was born on February 17, 1921, near Boonville, the daughter of Clarence Levi (Lee) Eager and Emma (Effinger) Eager. After graduating from Boonville High School she attended Central Methodist College in Fayette, graduating with a Bachelor of Music degree. She was married to Guy Cecil "Pete" Duren on April 21, 1954 in Ashtabula, Ohio. She was active in the music department of the Evangelical United Church of Christ for over 60 years.
Survivors include one son, Keith (Carol) Duren of Florissant, Missouri; two grandsons, Ryan Duren of Florissant, Blake (Mary) Duren of Kansas City, Missouri; one sister, Frances Wear of Mogadore, Ohio, along with several nieces and a nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Hazel Kuzich, formerly of Livonia, Michigan.
