Iva M. ‘Hopson’ Robinson, 101, of Boonville, passed away at Ashley Manor Care Center on Monday, July 09, 2012.
Funeral services for Iva will be held at Davis Funeral Chapel on Saturday, July 14th, 2012 at 11:00 A.M with Rev. Jeff Martin officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service from 10:00 until time of service. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Iva Marie Robinson was born in Moberly, MO, Dec. 14th, 1910, the daughter of William Ray Hopson and Sylvia Graves Hopson. Iva married William Robinson in 1934 in Kansas City, MO. She worked for many years at the Boonville Ice and Locker and the Hamilton Shoe Factory as an office manager. She then worked as office manager for Shyrack Givens Grocery for twenty eight years until her retirement in 1972. Iva enjoyed life to the fullest and was a friend to countless people. She loved to play bridge. She was an accomplished story teller and enjoyed stories about her experiences in life. She belonged to the Boonville Women’s club and was very active in her church, First Presbyterian Church of Boonville where she was an elder for many years.
Iva was preceded in death by her husband, Bill in 1993; and by two brothers.
Memorials are suggested to First Presbyterian Church in Boonville or donor’s choice.
