The Boonville 8-and-under All-Stars finished second in the Babe Ruth State Tournament over the weekend in Bonne Terre, Missouri by losing all three games to the Mineral Area Pups.
In the opening round on Friday against MABA, the Boonville 8 All-Stars fell by a score of 13-3.
MABA led Boonville 2-0 after one, 7-2 after two, and 9-3 after three before pushing across four more runs in the fourth for the victory.
Brooke Eichelberger had a single and a triple in the game for Boonville while Lexi Maddex doubled and Zoey Lang, Faith Mesik, Alexis Albin, Abby Fuemmeler and Jocelyn Dalton each had one single.
The Boonville 8 All-Stars also fell to the MABA Pups on Saturday by a score of 16-6.
MABA led Boonville 2-1 after the first, 7-1 after the second, 8-2 after three and 13-5 after four. Meanwhile, after Boonville plated one run in the fifth, MABA came back and tacked on three more runs in the bottom-half of the fifth for the victory.
Brooke Eichelberger had a single and a triple in the game for Boonville while Lexi Maddex added two singles and Alexis Albin and Kasie Northern with one single each.
In the third game of the tournament and second on Saturday, the Boonville 8 All-Stars finally got in the win column by beating the Heartland Lady Rebels by a score of 22-13.
Boonville led Heartland 4-0 after the first, 7-4 after two, 12-9 after three, 17-10 after four and 19-13 after five. Meanwhile, after holding Heartland scoreless in its half of the sixth, Boonville came back and sent across three more runs in the bottom-half of the inning for the victory.
Jocelyn Dalton led the hitting attack in the game for Boonville with three singles, one double and one home run.
Lexi Maddex and Addi Brownfield each had four singles while Alexis Albin added three singles, Brooke Eichelberger with one single and one home run, Zoey Lang, Emma West and Rachel Massa each with two singles and Faith Mesik, Olivia Eichelberger and Alexis Davis with one single apiece.
With a record of 1-2 after the first-two days of the tournament, the Boonville 8 All-Stars came back and evened its record to 2-2 by beating Monett by a score of 12-8.
Boonville never trailed in the game against Monett and led 3-0 after one, 7-0 after two, 8-2 after three, 11-3 after four and 12-7 after five. Meanwhile, in the sixth, Monett tacked on another run to end the scoring.

After playing to a 5-5 tie after the fist inning, the Mineral Area Pups came back and tacked on five runs in the second and one run in each of the third and fifth innings of play for the victory. Boonville, meanwhile, sent across two runs in the fifth and one again in the sixth.
Addi Brownfield had three singles to lead all hitters in the game for Boonville.
Lexi Maddex, Brooke Eichelberger and Alexis Albin each had two singles while Jocelyn Dalton, Faith Mesik, Abbie Fuemmeler, Kasie Northern and Alexis Davis added one single each.
