5 year-old, Einspahr, wins Best in Show

With more than 40 entries in this year's Community Art Show, 5 year-old Taylor Einspahr took away the Best in Show ribbon. The Friends of Historic Boonville hosted the Hain House event during Boonville's Heritage Days. Entries from all age groups were seen and voted on.

"Anyone from pre-kindergarten through their adult years can enter in one of several categories," said Melissa Strawhun, Executive Director of Friends of Historic Boonville.

The art show saw its largest number of entries in the amateur division. Drawings, paintings, photography and mixed media were allowed. Local artist, Charlie Stegner, was responsible for judging most of the events, save Best in Show, which was voted on by attendees.

"We have hosted this event in the past, but didn't last year. This year we hoped to re-establish it as part of our schedule of events during Heritage Days," said Strawhun.

In addition to art show judge, Charlie Stegner, Friends of Historic Boonville wish to thank Judy Shields, Tim Nadeau and Glenn Langston for helping to organize the event and display entrants' artwork. Ribbon-awardees are listed below. Congratulations to everyone!
