Kenneth F. Kempf, 85, of Boonville, passed away at his home on Wednesday, July 4th, 2012 in the presence of his loving family.
The Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Kempf will be held at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, July 6, 2012 with Father Bob Duesdieker officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the mass from 11:00 o’clock until time of the service.
Kenneth F. Kempf was born in Pilot Grove, MO Feb.13, 1927, the son of William Kempf and Selma Muessig Kempf. He married Fay Hendrix Sept. 17th, 1956 in Pilot Grove. Kenneth was a devout member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church. He had worked in the service department of McGraw Edison Co. for many years, until his retirement. With time on his hands, he enjoyed working as a Wal-Mart greeter for seven years. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan and he enjoyed bragging about his oversized tomatoes.
Mr. Kempf was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Debbie Burchett and a sister, Alfreda Larm and a brother, William, who died, serving his country in WW II. He is survived by his wife, Fay, of the home, his children; Frank Griesbach (Jeana) of Boonville, Dale Kempf (Pat) of Boonville, Lisa Danner (Mark) of Blackwater and Connie Shipman, (Kerry) of Boonville. His sisters, Martha Vollmer of Boonville and Sylvia Young of Pilot Grove also survive, as well as ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
