  • GKC-CPA scored seven runs in the first inning and never looked back, beating Exchange Bank 20-4 in Instructional League play last Wednesday in New Franklin.
    GKC-CPA led Exchange Bank 7-1 after one, 9-1 after two, 11-3 after three, 15-3 after four and 17-4 after five. Meanwhile, in the sixth, GKC-CPA plated three more runs for the victory.
    Caleb Hull was the leading hitter in the game for GKC-CPA with three singles and one triple.
    Abby Maupin and Brett Boggs each had two singles and two doubles, while Connor Wilmsmeyer added three singles and one triple, Darius Tatum with one single, one double and one triple, Clayton Wilmsmeyer with three singles, Elijah Malone and Ruby Simpson each with one single and one double, Carly Dorson and Kadin Sanders each with two singles and Conner Imhoff and Shaun Crowley with one single apiece.
    Reiden Colon led the hitting attack in the game for Exchange Bank with three singles. Keaton Eads added a single and a triple while Larissa Starke, Gavin Eaton, Trevian Cowans and Sammy Marshall finished the game with two singles each and Olivia Wood with one single.
    In the second game, Chipley & Company jumped out on top with one run in the bottom-half of the second only to have Jennings Meats rally back with seven in the top-half of the third to make it 7-1. Meanwhile, after pushing across three more runs in the bottom-half of the third, Chipley &?Company added three more in the fifth to tie the game at 7-all.
    But even that was short-lived as Jennings Meats plated one run in the top-half of the sixth to go ahead 8-7 while Chipley &?Company sent two across in the bottom-half of the inning for the victory.
    Landon Belstle had a big game at the plate for Chipley &?Company with two singles, one double and one triple.
    John Boggs, Evan Wells and Sawyer Felton finished the game with three singles each while Riley Felton added one single and one triple, David Singleton and Owen Curry each with two singles and Colt Bondy, Sophia Held, Drake Clark and Dylan Wells each with one single.
    For Jennings Meats, Blake Evans had two singles and a home run while Tyler Jennings and Tiernan Hoover added three singles each, Owen Armentrout with one triple and one home run, Dalton Ivy and Michael Cotton each with two singles and Faith Painter, Brady Taylor, Madison Painter and Logan Taylor with one single apiece.
