The team of Cathy Gochenour, Vickie Zeller, Jessica Cosner and Marsha Kempf shot a 6-under par 29 to capture first in the Hail Ridge 9-hole Lady Scramble Tournament Monday at Hail Ridge Golf Course in Boonville.
According to Kim Page, 39 lady golfers participated in the tournament from Boonville, Tipton, Marshall and Columbia.
Tying for second in A-flight with a 3-under par 32 were the teams of Sherry Shannon, Olive Malter, Glenda Veulemans and Kay Clifford and Dana Williams, Donna Reagan, Judy McSparin and Nancy Syron.
The two remaining teams in A-flight who shot a 2-under par 33 were the teams of Nancy Scott, Peg Eddy, Shelley Copeland and Judy Schroder and also the team of Richelle Kluck, Rachel Keim, Mary Ellen Roth and Audrey Harned.
B-flight was also crowded with three teams tying for first with a 1-under par 34.
Tying for first in that flight were the teams of Kim Page, Karlene Bestgen and Kathleen Maier, the team of Sheila Burkholder, Katy Kovar, Beverly Eichelberger and Pam Rapp and the team of Marty Howell, Rhonda Ditto, Leslie Raines and Linda Alspach.
The team of Marjorie Manson, Bernadette Cleary, Bonnie Howard and Merrilyn Bookout finished the tournament with a 2-over par 37, while the team of Carolyn Koerner, Kay Bradley, Kay Simon and Milly Rapp carded a nine-hole score of 38.
Contest winners were Sherry Shannon, closest to the hole on No. 2; Marty Howell, closest to the hole on No. 4; Beverly Eichelberger, closest to the hole on No. 7; and Kim Page, longest drive on No. 9.
Supper followed the tournament, with catering by Elaine Gramlich. Door prizes were also given out to almost every attendee.
