After scoring a total of 12 runs in the first-two innings last night in Cal Ripken Minor, Einspahr Construction probably thought there was no way for McDonald’s to comeback for the next-three innings.
But in this case, Einspahr Construction was dead wrong as McDonald’s rallied back with five runs in the third and seven again in the top-half of the fourth to go up 13-12.
Luckily for Einspahr Construction, they had the last at-bat while rallying back with two runs for a 14-13 victory.
Meanwhile, in the nightcap, QuinlanAgency.com picked up its first place trophy and the victory against Dave’s Country Market by a score of 14-3.
McDonald’s, who dropped to 6-10 on the season, opened the game with one run in the top-half of the first on a RBI-single by Brayden Page.
However, in the bottom-half of the first, Einspahr Construction rallied back in a big way by exploding for nine runs on six walks, singles each by Heath Danner and Brock Nowlin, RBI-singles each by Kayle Rice and Andrew Wiser and a two-RBI double by Gabe Lorenz to make it 9-1.
Meanwhile, after holding McDonald’s scoreless in its half of the second, Einspahr Construction came back and tacked on three more runs in the bottom-half of the inning on three walks, a single by Rice and a RBI-single by Wiser to extend the lead to 12-1.
Of course the game was far from being over. In the top-half of the third, McDonald’s rallied back with five runs on three walks, one error, singles each by Gavin Bishop and Brayden Page and a RBI on a sacrifice by Colten Collyott to cut the lead in half at 12-6.
McDonald’s didn’t stop there, though. After a scoreless inning in the third by Einspahr Construction, McDonald’s came back and exploded for seven runs in the top-half of the fourth on five walks, a single by Cale Fox and a three-RBI triple by Russell Potter to go ahead for the first time since the first inning at 13-12.
Unfortunately for McDonald’s, they never led again after that as Einspahr Construction sent two runs across in the bottom-half of the fourth on two walks, a wild pitch and a RBI-double by Carter Bailey for the victory.
Gabriel Bullard was the pitcher of record in the game for Einspahr Construction, who improved to 7-9 overall. Cale Fox, meanwhile, took the loss for McDonald’s.
Bullard, the fifth pitcher in the game for Einspahr Construction, pitched 2/3 inning and struck out two batters. Brock Nowlin started the game for Einspahr Construction and pitched one inning, giving up one run on one hit and one walk while striking out one.
As for McDonald’s, David Hart started the game and pitched 2 2/3 inning and issued nine runs on four hits and six walks while striking out one.

In the nightcap, Dave’s Country Market had a great start against QuinlanAgency.com by pushing across three runs in the top-half of the first on one walk, one hit batter, a RBI-single by Josh Teter and a two-RBI single by Garrett Ward to go up 3-0.
Unfortunately for DCM, they had nothing to show after that as QuinlanAgency.com rallied back with one run in the bottom-half of the first on one walk, a RBI by Kurt Danner and a single by Alex Breshears and six again in the second on five walks, a RBI-single by Kyle Chrisman and a two-RBI single by Cole Mize to make it 7-3.
QuinlanAgency.com then made it official by pushing across seven runs in the bottom-half of the third on five walks and RBI-singles each by Ben Eichelberger and Kyle Chrisman to win by the mercy rule.
Kyle Chrisman picked up the win on the mound for QuinlanAgency.com, who closed out the season at 13-3, while Christian Kosnopfal took the loss for Dave’s Country Market, who finished the season at 6-9-1 overall.
Chrisman pitched the first-two innings and gave up three runs on four hits and one walk while striking out one. Kurt Danner then came in and pitched one inning in relief and surrendered one hit while striking out one. Then, to finish the game, Tyler Schuster pitched one inning and issued one hit while striking out one.
For Dave’s Country Market, Aaron Adams pitched one inning and gave up one run on one hit and one walk. Kosnopfal, meanwhile, pitched one inning in relief and surrendered six runs on two hits and five walks while striking out three. Then, after Garrett Ward pitched 1/3 inning and yielded six runs on one hit and three walks while striking out one, Josh Teter came in and pitched 2/3 inning and allowed one run on one hit and two walks while striking out one batter.
Kyle Chrisman also went 2-for-3 in the game for Quinlans with two singles and two RBIs. Alex Breshears had a single and two RBIs while Ben Eichelberger and Cole Mize added a single and one RBI each.
For DCM, Gabe Rumbaoa went 2-for-2 with two singles while Josh Teter had a single and one RBI and Trae Williams, Luke Rehagen and Garrett Ward with one single each.
