  • Nordyne picked up a sweep last night in Babe Ruth 14U softball at Rolling Hills park by beating Thoma Custom Trimmings by the scores of 23-12 and 19-11.

  • Nordyne picked up a sweep last night in Babe Ruth 14U softball at Rolling Hills park by beating Thoma Custom Trimmings by the scores of 23-12 and 19-11.
    Nordyne, improving to 4-6 with the sweep, led TCT 7-0 after one, 9-3 after two and 18-5 after three. Meanwhile, in the fourth inning, TCT outscored Nordyne 7-5.
    Kyla Johnson was the winning pitcher in the game for Nordyne while Natalie Bishop took the loss for TCT, who dropped to 0-10 on the season. Johnson pitched all four innings and gave up 12 runs on five hits and seven walks. Bishop, meanwhile, pitched the first-three innings for TCT and surrendered 18 runs on eight hits and 11 walks while striking out one. Madison Maupin then came in and pitched one inning in relief and issued five runs on four hits and one walks.
    Nordyne also out-hit TCT 12-5, with Miranda Northern collecting a single, home run and two RBIs. Courtney Timm had a single, triple and four RBIs while Kishonda Jones added a single, triple and three RBIs, Leigha Vollmer with two singles and one RBI, Andrea Jackson with a single and a double and Kyla Johnson and Lindsey Harris each with one single and one RBI.
    For TCT, Taylor Ellebracht had a home run and three RBIs while Kristen Williams added one triple, Natalie Bishop with one single and one RBI and Kyra Perkins and Laurel Lutz each with one single.
    In the nightcap, Nordyne led TCT 10-4 after one and 19-7 after two before giving up four runs in the top-half of the third.
    Andrea Jackson was the winning pitcher in the game for Nordyne while Madison Maupin took the loss for TCT. Jackson pitched the first-two innings and gave up seven runs on three hits and nine walks while striking out one. Lindsey Harris then came in and pitched one inning in relief, giving up four runs on one hit and four walks while striking out one.
    For TCT, Maupin pitched one inning and issued six runs on two hits and seven walks. Kyra Perkins then came in and pitched two innings in relief and yielded 13 runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out one.
    Lindsey Harris and Courtney Timm each had two singles and two RBIs in the game for Nordyne. Miranda Northern had two singles and one RBI while Andrea Jackson added two singles, Kyla Johnson with one single and two RBIs, Leigha Vollmer with one single and Kishonda Jones with one RBI.
    For TCT, Madison Maupin tripled while Taylor Ellebracht added one double and one RBI, Dianna Koa with one single and one RBI, Laurel Lutz also with one single and Madison Maupin and Kayley Johnson each with one RBI.
