Phillip J. Miller, 82, of Bunceton, Missouri died Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at the University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. Visitation will be 10:00 am Friday, June 1st, at the Bunceton Federated Church. The service will follow at 11:00 am with Rev. Scott Ehrlich officiating. Burial will be in the Bunceton Masonic Cemetery.
Mr. Miller was born November 30, 1929 in Howard County, the son of John and Bertha Morris Miller. He attended a one-room school house in Boonesboro, Missouri. On September 3, 1955 he married Jeanette Salzman at the Bunceton Federated Church where they became members. He was a past member of the Bunceton Masonic Lodge and a veteran of the Korean War. He served as scout master for the Bunceton Cub Scouts and coached youth summer baseball in Bunceton. Phillip retired from self-employed painting and auctioneering. He loved to fish, garden, and was quite a story teller.
Phillip is survived by his wife, Jeanette, of the home; two sons, Rick (Pam) of Springhill, Kansas, Jon (Erin) of Carthage, Missouri; one brother, Carl Miller of Boonesboro, Missouri; and five grandchildren, Cory, Ivi, Austin, Abby and Andrew.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, John and Robert Miller; a daughter, Cathy Miller; and one infant granddaughter, Jeana Maxey.
